Social Issues That Affect Professional Careers
Did you all know that till this day
especially when the pandemic started not only the virus is spreading wildly, but
also the social issues that affect professional careers? There are many reasons
why many students and people didn’t achieve their dream profession. Here are
some of the social issues that affect their professional careers.
The most common social issue is poverty because there are not a lot of jobs around us that don’t need any education. A lot of jobs nowadays are looking for people who are professional and a high graduate from schools that is very recognizable. This is because businesses and office works that require education can cause underemployment because not all of the people who are looking for a job has the education standard that they are looking for.
Due to poverty and underemployment, people will not have the
power to buy the resources that are needed by the students which causes lack of
resources. When the needed resources of the students are not provided, it can
result to stopping their education. The new generation of resources for
students also costs more expensive. Especially when this pandemic hits, many
companies closed down due to bankruptcy, which also caused many people on
losing their jobs. The professions that are needed during this pandemic require
high education students such as the medicine course wherein not that many
people can afford the tuition fee that is needed.
The next is gadget addiction, that has no
age restrictions, and it affects people of all ages and races. The consequences
can be even dangerous to our democracy. Next is drug addiction, where harmful
and excessive intake of legal and illicit substances is done. This causes a
wide range of behavioral changes in the person, as well as affecting brain
functions. These drugs make a person feel good about themselves by causing
dopamine, or the happiness hormone, to be released. The brain begins to raise
dopamine levels as they continue to use the drug, and the individual wants
more.
